Walk Sunday July 9th. 2017
Posted on: Fri 7th July 9:17pm
Hi Guys. This is the last walk of the season, until September and is an adventure into the hills with the mountainy men of North Mayo.
So put on your Shell to Sea T shirts, and join Naomi on this amazing looped cliff type walk. It could be classed as a B walk, with climbs and flat. About 3 to 3.5 hours long. No more than 12km. Meet at Crescent Boyle 09:30 am, or Carrowteigue PO at 11:50am.
To get to Carrowteigue, travel via Ballina, Killala, Ballycastle. R314 to Belderg and minor roads via Porturlin to Carrowteigue.
Now, if the weather is shite, then the mountainy men will not be visible and there will be no views and it is a long way to drive for that. So if the day looks like it is going to be not such good weather, then we will not be travelling. But in this event, Naomi has a cunning plan to divert the walk to L Meelagh, which is much nearer. So regardless...Get those sandwiches made and fill those hip flasks.. Any queries? Phone Naomi 087 6743693
