Walk Sunday January 28th
Posted on: Thu 25th January 9:59pm
Lough Meelagh ...that's the start of the walk this Sunday. Not too big but it has several crannog's, used for defence and habitation and St Ronan and St. Lasair were also buried here. So this is where we meet, at the carpark and if you have time, you might like to head up to the court tomb in the woods.
So we will meet in the carpark at 12 noon and go from there on this B grade walk, so you need a good level of fitness. Finishing up at Clancy's in Knockvicar, there will be plenty of points of interest en route. Wear suitable clothing, bring a bit of grub and come along. This walk is being led by Eugene our own forestry expert. Need to know the names of the trees? He's your man.
