Walk Sunday December 3rd 2023
Posted on: Fri 1st December 1:02pm
This was written in the days of music hall, when chancers took to the stage and if they were no good, managers standing in the wings had a long hooked pole with which to pull failures off stage by their necks while the audience were booing and catcalling. But Mark Sheridan had a huge hit with his seaside song, which he wrote in 1909. (Courtesy of Andrew Marr) I also like the seaside and plan to walk around the headland at Streedagh, on to the beach and back this Sunday...about 12km.
If you would like to join me, meet Henry's bar and restaurant on the N15 at 11am
Perhaps a hot toddy after....
The weather at the moment is forecast dry, but cold, so wrap up well if you're coming.
