Walk sunday 26th January.
Posted on: Fri 24th January 10:47pm
The walk on Sunday, is being led by Naomi and is in the lovely County Leitrim.
The walk takes us up a track over the Glenade escarpment, with beautiful views along this to Eagles Rock, where a track will take us down to the cars. So it is a linear walk and so entails leaving cars at both ends.
It is down on the calendar as a B+ walk, but is not at all bad. The first climb is a gentle meandering track and is a rise of about 300 metres, and the walk to the top of Eagles rock is 5 to 6km, over rough terrain, but not great climbs. Then down the track.
Gaiters recommended if you have them. Suitable for all, it is not a race.
Meet Crescent Boyle at 10am, or Henrys bar and restaurant on the N15 at 10:55am. This is an essential meeting point, where we will discuss car pooling and arrangements.. Bring money for chips at the end....Where you can undo all the good work and new years resolutions
