The weather does not look so clement for this Sunday, so where we walk will be dependent on the forecast nearer the day. We had Raghly walk down for this Sunday, but it is really a walk for a nicer day, especially if we include a dip. If we do this, the route will deviate a bit from the usual, due to ground nesting birds on part of the route, so unfortunately a bit more road, albeit quiet country road. 12-13km long, with one climb up Knocklane, which is less than 60m. And then a beach walk. Meet Raghly, car parking area at 11am. Through Carney, past Lisadell and take the left turn, signposted Raghly. Nearest post code is F91 NRH5...The "Sligo Sea Barn" Meet a bit further along from this on the right hand side. If you want to stay overnight at the Sea Barn it is just 1,295 euro per night. Unfortunately. minimum stay is 2 nights so it will cost you 2,590 euro. Breakfast not included. Or you could camp for free on the beach. If the weather is not up to much, we will do a walk on the Sligo way, from Slish wood to the Lake Isle of Innisfree and a bit further. The first person to recite Yeats poem in full, will get an extra piece of cake. This walk will also be about 13km, a there and back but equally delightful in each direction. Meet Car Park Slish wood, on the R287. The south side of Lough Gill, the entrance is signposted, and is about 4km from the beginning of the lake. We will meet at this carpark at 11am if this is the option for the day. Get the poetry books out and start practising Any ???? Phone me, Pam 087 2027513
